could you post a picture of your light? I am looking for a cheap 2C host to mod. All I can find is an old army style anglehead.
Id like to cast a vote for the Kai AAA beltbuckle light:

I think it belongs here at $15 (free shipping)...
My thoughts on this issue primarily revolve around the quality of solder itself.
I know from experience that the quality of solder varies considerably.
If as I suspect Pelican used a very cheap solder (almost pure lead, and no tin) then the melting point would be very low and with high...
how does that light compare to this one?

its supposed to be 150 lumens. I guess on a 10440. Anyone who has both, what do you think?

One thing to remember...
Re: 2 LED Driver Borars in a Row ?
when you get the boards first hook one up and test it, then unhook the led and turn it on again. Then turn it off, hookup the led and test it again. If it survived running unloaded you have crossed your first obstacle.
Im not sure if one of those boards...
+1 on the Mag 2C. I have a chrome one running a Terralux 6EXB Led / WA1111 on 2 AW C Lithium cells.
But Im looking for a real cheapie to mod and beat around.
Im looking for a (fairly) cheap 2C light that takes a PR-2 bulb. Preferably under $10 if possible.
Apparently this was never a popular format. I have 2 but they dont work for crap and if you dropped them theyd split like eggshells.
Hoping for a little help from another member.
