Serious Q: 16340 flashlights: diff betw $5 cree and $40 Fenix
My 16340 batteries have low voltage protection. That is true whether I put it in a Fenox at $40, or a no-name at $5. what does the Fenix do to safeguard the use of the energy in a 16340 so that the battery has a longer life? And/or does not get to be a fire risk?- row111

AA recharable battery suggestions
As noted, Eneloops are supposed to be great. I have used Powerex, and they are very good. I used to only be able to get them from Thomas distributing, but Ama zon has them now. There are reviews on the web, which are necessary because many of these rechargeables are nowhere as good as they...- row111

Throwing Flashlight?
For that Olight, it does not look like you plug the entire unit in to recharge - also the mfr website says "optional charger." So, "charger" must not be built in if optional. I saw no picture or information on this charger. So, if you go this route, you may just want to use a good charger you...- row111
