    razor blade or electric shaver?

Gillette Proglide with the ball mount vibrating head; gives me the closest shave with fewest passes that I've ever had [been shaving for 50 years]. The blades last for months too - just as well as they cost.

Anyone else think Maglite are missing some obvious tricks?

No phone books in my part of the UK anymore. Doesn't stop a load of strangers phoning me with personal offers though.........

Anyone else think Maglite are missing some obvious tricks?

I started with Maglites in the late 70s. First a 2xaaa, then a solitaire, then a 2xaa. They were sold with 'aircraft grade aluminium bodies' and were far stronger than the plastic or tin stuff that was then around. But the downside was the frequent need to change the bulbs, and the problem with...

Anyone else think Maglite are missing some obvious tricks?

I bought my daughter the led solitaire to replace the old incan solitaire she always carried. My daughter is not light-savvy and thinks it is fine. So a more considered response mybe that Maglite is not pitching its products well. Its lights are not good enough to attract flashaholics, but a bit...

Anyone else think Maglite are missing some obvious tricks?

I have a 2x aa original maglite. With an LED upgrade and a niteize tail clicky it is quite a decent light and can use nimh or alks. I use it to get the last breath out of old alks.

    Your Lawn Mower

I got 20 years out of a Briggs, it was a generically badged model depending on seller. When it blew up I decided old age probably meant a lighter electric version, so got a Bosch ergotek 43. I think the Bosch blade spins at 8000rpm compared to the Briggs 2500, so the cut is finer. But the blade...

    Nitecore EAX

On Nitecore UK it is £129.95, but out of stock. That's about $190 ? At the moment I want one, so I'm willing to pay, just need to find a UK outlet.

    Magnetic flashlights?

I have a Tank007 M20 5 mode with a removeable magnetic base. It cost me £13.20, about $18 I think. Solidly made, uses AA bats. Only problem is that sometimes the last mode memory slips a step. Magnet is strong and I use it a lot.

FordEx Group LED lights - anyone have experience with them?

I have 2, both single mode. Bit of play in the zoom heads. One will tail stand, the other will not as the clicky cover protrudes more on one of them. Ceiling comparison shows them as slightly brighter than the max 80lm of my mc10. At max zoom you can see the image of the Led emitter projected...

    **NEW** Nitecore EA4 Pioneer (4*AA, 860lm)

Looks a nice mod RF. It makes no sense for Nitecore not to do it? I like the light levels of the ea4, compared to the d40a and the gx25a3 which have a larger step between low and high. But am holding off a purchase, may have to go the eax route, we'll see how it goes. It might be one of those...

    **NEW** Nitecore EA4 Pioneer (4*AA, 860lm)

In the Nitecore 2014 catalogue there is no change to the EA4 spec. I was hoping for the XM-L2 emitter, but it looks like it can't handle the heat?

    *** Fenix User Group ***

Have: MC10 LD22 LD41 The MC10 is my favourite light, just how I feel, no objective justification at all, it just feels functional/business-like. Now I want the new MC11 with the 155Lm burst.

    Nitecore EAX (8xAA ~ 2K Lumens ~ 2 XM-L2) NEW PICS !!

See in the catalogue it is called the 'HAMER', which I assume is a misprint of 'Hammer'?
