    I have read numerous threads on the specs of this light, and all are cautious about twin rechargeables, but very few has ever reported trying. All in the name of science I just had to try... I am currently running my L2 on two AW RCR123, and it´s doing well so far.

    I have made a few Maglites running XR-Es at around 1A with nothing other than regular epoxy holding them down... works for me.

    I did an aspheric maglite with this lens yesterday, and it seems to be acceptable in quality. Thats a good thing since DX cheap lenses seems to have gone down the drain in terms of optical quality.

    Isn´t the AAA-holders in series... that would make it impossible to just wrap something around them to make the wobble go away. You need connectors to be within the spacers to give 3,6V Or have you lengthened the tube enough to take the AAA´s in a single column?
