    Similar lights to Nitecore Thumb

I took some beam shots outside and compared to a MagLight. I just attempted to create a Photobucket account (seems like others share their photos there and link to them) but the experience on Photobucket was so PAINFUL with all the pop up Ads and I couldn't even get past them all to load the...

    Similar lights to Nitecore Thumb

I received my Tank007 WF01 in the mail yesterday. I am super happy with it. It was expensive, but the rotating head design is unique and matches my needs for attaching to a backpack strap. I was unable to find anything that fulfills the need as close to this little guy. I do not have any fancy...

    Similar lights to Nitecore Thumb

Glad this matches your desires Beckler! It matches my long quest as well! :twothumbs I've never owned a Tank007, but they are mentioned here from time to time. I don't recall anything special one way or the other. Having this rotating head is so wonderful, not many lights out there do this...

    Cool White vs Neutral white

I 'see' your point markr6... CW isn't going to really reveal something that a NW couldn't. I was being a tad dramatic (if you are referencing my comments). I take it you are very much in the NW camp and not buying a bunch of different light types. I too like to settle on one light versus a...

    Similar lights to Nitecore Thumb

Oh, and to add to suggestions... and maybe temptation... And it has a Rotating head! I JUST discovered this light Tank 007 WF01 I think I may get this for attaching to my backpack strap. I was looking for something exactly like this a year ago. Does this help your desires that you seek...

    Cool White vs Neutral white

Love this thread. A debate I have had often. Here is how I boil it down (and keep thinking of making a YouTube video explaining my personal take) In my living room, where things are cozy with sofas, TV, fireplace, pillows, sleeping dog; I (like most people) love the "warmth" of the typical...

Ok, if Rofis is too bulky for you....check out this JUST released: Nitecore TINI I thought you desired a rotating head sort of light, hence the Rofis.

For a similar design (anglelight/rotating head) I recommend the Rofis. I have the AA version TR15 and use a 14500. I LOVE it. They have a few other types that use 18650 I may check out the the future for higher output and battery life.

    Armytek Wizard Pro v3 headlamp/right angle review (18650, XHP50)

I want to add a little review myself...ok, my previous thread was about experiencing a cracked lens like another member. Frustrating to say the least. I only owned the light for two weeks max! But once I got my replacement... Overall I LOVE this light. The flood is a wall of light. I can use...

    Armytek Wizard Pro v3 headlamp/right angle review (18650, XHP50)

I too had an issue with a cracked lens. I bought my light (Wizard Pro V3 XHP50 Cool White) earlier this year in March directly from Armytek. (I didn't get the Fin version, but maybe it wasn't out yet) I only owned the light for a couple weeks, and I vaguely recall it dropping from my waist level...

    XML2 U4: 1A VS 1C

I have always loved 1A tints. Sure, a little cold, but hands down the brightest, pure white. Really I find it lights up a dark forest the best. I have tested many tints and I too found the 1C a little greenish when compared to 1A. However, by itself it is a decent tint. In fact I rather like the...

    Source for buying XM-L emitters

Seems my usual source doesn't sell XM-L's right now. I am in the US and rather not order abroad. I am looking for help finding the 20mm base size XM-L. Cool White U2 1A tint. I think the latest cool white is the U2 1A tint, right? I really liked the 20mm size because the optics (Carlo) fit...

Any way to power different LEDs from on battery source?

hmmm, Blasterman...running LEDs in parallel off a 1.4 amp driver....would that still driver 1.4 to each LED? I have some Red ones that are indeed limited to 700mAh. I guess it is actually if they are in a series would be sending 1.4 straight through the first one to the next one and...

Any way to power different LEDs from on battery source?

So I have been playing around with LEDs for several years. First thing I learned was LEDs have different voltage forwards and of course the old: electricity takes the path of least resistance. So a RED LED will swallow all voltage when paired with a Green LED. I never really questioned any of...

Any advange to 18650 vs. 2x123 primaries?

Battery Run time: 18650 vs. 2x123 I *tried* to post under the Battery section, but I can't even access it now to see if it posted. sorry if I am breaking rules...seems like CPF is under some maintenance. I posted my results with testing a homemade headlamp using an XML and a 2.8mAh driver from...
