    Surefire LX2 still relevant?

For all practical purposes, I believe the LX2 may very well be relevant for a good many more years. I can light up a tree (dimly) that is almost 250 yards away.

Re: vinhnguyen54 Need Modded Work? 2013 ;-) Hello Vinh, How about an emitter swap on a Surefire LX2? Maybe an XP-E? Thanks.

New Malkoff MDC in the works.

+1 on the optics. I find the spill less distracting because there is no sharp contrast.

Who uses a flashlight because they need to?

    Surefire LX2 vs. Elzetta

Correct. You only get low by untwisting the tailcap slightly. The Elzetta is a clicky. The LX2 is a twisty, NOT a clicky. I should be getting my Elzetta by Tuesday. BTW, I talked to Elzetta and they said, it's possible to untwist the tailcap just right to where you can access the high level...

    Which single level SureFire?

I also choose the G2/G3 w/ Malkoff M60L/LL. (I've had the rest) Reasons: 1) Beam profile is far more useful. The very best and most useful beam I have ever had. Good hotspot which nicely transitions to a sort of secondary hot spot, but much larger but still plenty of light, and finally...
