I use my regular Eneloops in my lights and camera flash unit. No problems, plenty of capacy, even for my Granddaughter's wedding. One set, through both the wedding and reception. My next purchase will be a charger with individual channel capability. I seem to have more than enough Eneloops!
Hokay, here goes:
I've had an idea rattling around in my brain for a while. I'd like to mod a light that will be smaller than my several years old 3D Mag mod, which is a DD, with a TVIL Luxeon III. It is bright, so I put some diffusing film on the lens to tame it a bit. Still a throwbeast...

Not horror, but good anyhow:

People do the dumbest things! We had a bunch of guys who appropriately named themselves the "Crap For Brains Hunting Club" and they trespassed on posted land, which was a disused military firing range.

Dunno perzactly what kind of photog I are.
I consider myself an enthusiastic hobbiest, with 50 years' experience. I did film and manual metering for years, because that's all there was. I LOVE digital, as confusing as it is. My cameras are both older-generation 6 & 12 MP Digital SLRS, and...

O.K., I admit it...I've had a love affair with the surefire E2L AA for years.
I just never could afford it. Now, my favorite sports emporium has them for, like $125. I still can't/won't afford it!
That is about 2X my maximum budget for any flashlight!
Soooo...tell me true; is there a light...
It depends on what size he Likes. Similar in size to the MMags, , the Terralux Light Star 220 hasa clicky, 2 levels, 2 AA, is bright, and not really expen$ive. For a smaller one, I bought my wife the Fenix E 11. Small, Bright 1 AA.
Has anyone had experience with the Inova 2AA light listed as the H2DMHB? it is listed a a 2-level light, and appears to be a bright, relatively simple light. Looks like a good one for those of us who don't absolutely need a bunch of features, and the price is pretty good.
