    Looking for a new headlamp - suggestions?

    If he got an 18650 light and ran it on one of the low modes, as he's looking for 200-300 lumens max, then the step-down isn't an issue. Right? I have a light that I run in the lower modes all the time and it never steps down that I can tell.

    I haven't found a Zebralight that has a red light option, only dedicated red lights. I'd be interested in one too. Fenix has a light with a red option (HL-60R i believe). Maybe a couple other manufacturers too.

    Good to know. What I meant was, most of the time there is one authorized U.S. distributor for a foreign product (take European fly chain screens from Holland Plastics as an example). If you buy from an unauthorized distributor, you're up a creek if you have problems. Clearly not the case...
