    I just bought the Streamlight ProTac HPL and really like it too. I switched it to the low-medium-high mode with no strobe. Also agree with sending it in to Streamlight to get the tail cap fixed.

    30 year EMT here, easy answer- Look at the Streamlight Protac line with rechargeable USB capability. Those lights will last you forever.
