    Fenix P3D and Lithium-ion Batteries

If the threading were compatible, I imagine it would be possible to use a R17670 with a P2D head (which Fenix's website suggests is actually the same as the LxD head) on a P3D body. The input voltage would then be correct, but of course you wouldn't get the P3D's 160 lumens.

$9.99 CREE P4 AA @ DX, alum. ref, steel body, plas len

Many stainless steels are non-magnetic. Weight is a better way to distinguish between aluminum and stainless (if you've handled both metals before, it should be pretty obvious).

    Sold/Expired WTB: Seoul Emitter

I'm interested in modding my Fenix L1T to a Seoul P4. Is there a CPFer who has the bare emitters for sale? If not, can you recommend a dealer? I'd like to get the best readily-available bin if possible.

    "Fenix" Pronunciation

As 'phoenix'. I like the plural 'Fenices' too (rhymes with 'seas', on pattern of 'indices', etc.). :)

    Ultrafire CREE C1 3W

That sounds like a different Ultrafire; the C1 takes a single 123.

    18W LED - for real????

Not really 18W, just a victim of the generic-light wattage inflation race.

    LED and "warm" light

There are Luxeon "warm white" LEDs which do have a warmer tone, but IMO the problem with white LED (as well as fluorescent) light is not so much "coolness" as the fact that it's not full-spectrum, thus colored objects may not appear as they do in sunlight when viewed in LED light. I'm not sure...

Are they multi-level? How about fully RCR123 compatible? AR glass?
