Your vote on the CURRENT best bang-for-the-buck light with these 2 stipulations:

Jetbeam BA10. Built very well, and very bright,160 lumens on a single AA cell. One of the cheapest light in my collection but still one i trust very much.. Almost any light in my edc rotation sometime fails to turn on or off or do stupid things (nitecore d11., fenix ld12, olight t25, olight i3...

I need a light with ultimate throw.

Agree.. Sounds like a terrible idea.. Also some times officers take advantage of the dark to move around for more tactical positions around a house or fence or what ever.. ...And then you turn your light on...

    Deep carry EDC ideas?

Fenix ld12.. Also olight i2 rides very very low

    Most reliable mini AA light

Jetbeam ba10.. Thicker barrel than most other aa's but extremely reliable and tough little light.. Very reliable twisty UI.. My next choise would be a mini maglite led

    Fenix LD20 dropped in lake

Those small fenix lights are alot more water tight than you think, my ld12 have seen alot of salt water without any problems. Main problem here is finding it again, it can be like 2-4 cm down under the mud now due to the nature of its shape and overall geometry.. Also it might be coverd by all...

    Police Officer...powerful lightweight flashlight

I would not see that as an option, even if the charger turns it self off afte charing, never ever ever leave a charger alone

    New guy..Damaged my new #/%$* SR91 Flashlight!!

i know exactly how you guys feel, i did not talk to my girlfried for 30-45 mins after she dropped my "newer" olight from her bicycle (she tried to avoid getting a ticket for driving bike without lights on).. but now i just love it, and i now know that it can take a drop from a fast moving...

Can the clip on the Jetbeam BA10 be reversed for bezel down carry ?

i am also very interested in that clip, seems perfect and i love deep pocket carry like that. maybe it is this one? http://www.lightjunction.com/JETBeam-RRT-0-clip.html

Introducing two new Fenix Offerings: LD12 and LD22

this looks very good! i cant wait to get the ld12, the side button is just what i was looking for, im sick of all the manufactures trying to implement multimode interface into the tailcap which makes it impossible and unreliable to use..

    Most durable (bombproof) 1xAA light?

In my eyes, the quark has some serious design flaws that made me go back to my LD10, the quark head and body and so on are designed to be modular with 2xAA body and other batteries, this makes the porportions very wierd of the head and tail compared to length and thickness of the body, this...

    Need a good 2xAA light

In my eyes the olight t-25 beats them all, if it just had some more grip to it

Recommend first EDC light - LED, 2 AA, 2-3 modes, under $50?

Take a look at olight t25, i think that fits perfect, it has served me very well, 2aa and 3 modes, very usefull low mode, and a nice combination of throw and spill at high (210 lumens).. It also comes with a strobe mode that i find very usefull One thing is that it gets very hot ofter 7-8...

Happy with my Maglite but wish it had...

I agree with the above, my maglite 3D led out shines any of my 200 lumens and above, lights. Its not all about lumens, maglite has served me well for many years on patrol and even taken down some bad guys with it

    1AA light, size matters

Take a look at nitecore d11.2, i know lots of ppl have been complaining about some problems with tolerances, but i just got mine and it seems they fixed all the problems, the led is perfect center and no problems what so ever, and a very bright 145 lumens on one aa is very good in my opinion...
