Need a little help, USAF Air-To-Air Refueling!

The only one I'd need rapid access to would be Red. We use that for emergencies aka "Breakaway" where we literally need the Helo/Osprey to just peace out asap for safety reasons. Other than that I have a few seconds to cycle through a selector ring or whatever. In a perfect world, I'd be...

Need a little help, USAF Air-To-Air Refueling!

True, if the equipment is military owns it and a member uses it, like a weapon, body armor, chemical warfare protection suits etc. However, in the case of simple tools like a flashlight, if I feel the need to spend my own dime I'm more than allowed to. Also, small tools like flashlights...

Need a little help, USAF Air-To-Air Refueling!

Hi all, To make a long story short- I'm in the USAF and am in need of some advice and/or guidance. I'm involved in the process of in-flight fueling Helicopters and Tilt Rotor assets from my aircraft in radio-silent environments . In this scenario, we use light signals to communicate commands...

    First Surefire, first post!

From one aviator to another, welcome. Im on MC-130J's for the Air Force. I started out with a 6P same as you, and I still use it to this day, although now it has a neutral XM-L @ 1000 lumens. Not a good light for flying because its so bright, but for flying I've found that an HDS Rotary exactly...

Pilot Headset mounted, NVG Compatible... etc

Most guys use a lip light, which is great for seeing stuff less than a foot from your face. It clips onto the boom mic on our headsets. The pilots seats also have reading lamps mounted above their heads, whereas I have to almost constantly be moving around the cargo compartment of the aircraft...

Pilot Headset mounted, NVG Compatible... etc

I checked both of those out, I think the surefire would work, but may be a little bright for my needs. The princeton tec point looks to me like it wouldn't hold up well with the flexi arm. I'll do a little more research though, were getting close. Ran into one of these at Home Depot today...

Pilot Headset mounted, NVG Compatible... etc

A surefire helmet light would be awesome, by I wouldn't have the slightest idea on how to mount it, or make it aimable.

Pilot Headset mounted, NVG Compatible... etc

Hello all, I'm looking for a very specific type of light and I thought the community here at CPF might be able to help. Requirements: Small & Light Single AAA battery or likewise. Basically, no Coin cells. NVG compatibility - Blue or Green output is a MUST. It can be green or blue ONLY, white...

So after about a 2 year Hiatus from CPF, I'm back! Looking for info on 17670 battery compartments for my HDS Rotary.... found a little bit earlier in this gigantor of a thread, but hoping there are some updates, or maybe a list going to reserve one? Thanks in advance guys, and its good to be back!
