Go To Four Slot Charger for 2019

IMO the MC3000 stands above all others for the reasons mentioned above plus the fact the firmware is easily upgraded for new chemistry's etc. Being able to interface with computer software or control it with Bluetooth phone apps are just icing on the cake. Yes it's as expensive as 2 Opus...

Anything as good as Deoxit Gold but cheaper?

This is easy to use and cheap as you will find it. Applicator is great for applying to most electrical contact areas. A little goes a long way! Use it on my battery charger rails, flashlights, head phone jacks and much more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XICZILS/?tag=cpf0b6-20

SkyRc MC3000 Charger and Others Hard to Slide Neg Post Fix

Yep just a film will do the trick, no need to have it dripping off the parts. I keep a cover of paper or plastic on most of my equipment, don't like to spend time cleaning dust off things. ;)

SkyRc MC3000 Charger and Others Hard to Slide Neg Post Fix

Most Chargers have a spring loaded sliding negative post to accommodate different length battery's. Some slide with little friction and some with a lot. I have a ver 2 MC3000 (June 2016 production) that slide very easily party due to the fact that SkyRc was greasing the rails during that...

Opus BT - C3100 "secret voltages" work pretty much as expected

Opus is currently considering an updated version of the 3400 which will have an external voltage switch so the back doesn't have to be removed plus it will charge NiZn batterys.

    SkyRC MC3000

I own both and the Opus isn't even in the same league as the MC3000. If you don't have the cash the Opus is fine but if you want the best pay up and get the SkyRC, it will more than likely be the last charger you ever buy. If you want the MC3000 for $80 email Robert stating that and give him...

Questions about the Opus BT-C3100 2.2

That is correct. Default is 500ma. It is plug and play, set the mode and rate if you wish and go do something else. Preset means the firmware has a set voltage to stop discharging at, like markr6 said about 2.9v. This is not adjustable.

    18650's Care and Maintenance

The Opus is a great charger and I wouldn't ever get rid of mine but unfortunately it will not auto discharge to storage voltage so you would have to manually monitor it and pull them. However it would be significant a step up from the VC4. Right now as far as I can tell the MC3000 is the only...

    18650's Care and Maintenance

Wow I just looked up the VC4 specs and I see it doesn't discharge battery's. So unless you plan on purchasing another charger you could just go ahead and use them in a light and when you are recharging pull them off when they reach the voltage you want. If you are going to be doing it often...

    18650's Care and Maintenance

If you want to do it right for long term storage charge or discharge them to 3.6 - 3.7v and store in a cool place, the fridge being an option if the wife will allow it. This will give you max storage life. If they are going to be used in a week or two leave them fully charged. Of course be sure...

Can I ask some charger question from the more knowledgeable?

Well now that you bring that up I can't remember where I got that his last name was Negely, I had it written in my notes. It would make sense that it would be Dana. Like you said whatever it is he is a nice guy! If someone calls to buy something from him maybe they can ask and set us straight.

Can I ask some charger question from the more knowledgeable?

That's easy. Robert Negely [email protected] 916-405-0183 The 3400 was made for him to sell here in the US. He sells on Amazon under DC Workshop. If you contact him direct he will save you the 15% Amazon takes for their cut and charge you the actual shipping from him...
