    All good points thanks. I should have added that there is some ambient light outside my house so it’s not pitch black. I’m pretty sure if I were using the same drop in out in the woods it would be a very different story.

    Emergency Lantern Recommendations

    My emergency light is a 2D incan Maglite that I converted to a 75 lumen led and added a flood reflector. It doesn’t sound like much but it lights up the living room and sips on those batteries.
