This is why we need REAR fog lamps

I had read an earlier post about these 850 fogs, and thought I would show my efforts. I was glad I got the earlier ones, I think they just look better. I did the Challenger first (my car), quickly removable, in case the inspectors (VA) had a problem with it. They did not, and I did the others...

    F150 XL (base) rear bulbs

What I find: "SYL" Turn WTY21W JL3Z-13466-B BrakeTail WT21/7W JL3Z-13466-D Reverse WT21W JL3Z-13466-C Each of my bulbs are printed SYL, then the text. I find some FoMoCo references to these numbers, more zooming actual pictures, but even more about parts guy arguments. So, learn...

    2023 F150 almost base XL

None of those are what I wanted to hear! However, I will grab just the 9011's and check them as I aim the existing H11's THX

    2023 F150 almost base XL

Finally some got something new again! Hours researching bulbs... So, base XL with 'Chrome' upgrade, got me 'fogs, and maybe different bulbs in back - later. Front Low is H11, is Philips H9 correct upgrade? High is 9005, is 9011 correct upgrade? Philips OK now? Do I need to hunt down Toshibas...

    2014 Elantra (Coupe) non-projector

OK, thx. (The 'probably' was in a line mainly trying to suggest a visual reference with words, as I described what I could see.) Lows - no H9 swap (lamp too 'simple'), I am trying Stern for H11. Other than that - best H11? Highs - after working on the car, I see that there will be NO field...

    2014 Elantra (Coupe) non-projector

Time to prep for wife's car service. As above, the car has H11 (from Osram) for low, with what looks like an acorn nut (centered, probably a reflector from front back towards rear reflector system), but no interior lens. So, research indicates H9 mod - except to ask about car-to-car variations...

    Durango (1st Gen US) Recommendations

Actually seemed to be real NOS, dirty but unworn, no witness marks, etc - even cheaper now! I'm glad I bought it, needed assembly other side, now both are 'fresh'!

    2016 Challenger Halogen HIR2 / 9012

Re: 2106 Challenger Halogen HIR2 / 9012 'Rare' was my choice to imply I had read, in many posts, about NOT 'retro'ing HIDs. Since I was hearing that cutoff 'thunk', I thought it was possible it 'was engineered the other way around - cheaper halogen lamp stuck in a 'better' housing, for cheap...

    2016 Challenger Halogen HIR2 / 9012

As above... 1 What is likely in the car from the factory (brand, specific model)? They (FCA) list HIR2LL. 2 What is the best brand, specific model currently? Philips lists a 'plain' and a LL. 3 What would a manufacturer actually do to make an LL lamp? (Is it real or just marketing?) (I'm...

    Durango (1st Gen US) Recommendations

OK - post #1! I've read through, searched and such, still left with questions that might be common for 1999 Durango, US. I've gotten the 9007 Philips Extreme Vision, still to try after some fender repairs (deer). Headlamp assemblys are by Wagner for Chrysler. One unit is pretty rough, probably...
