Prime / Prime Pro. Every Day Carry Lights.

Re: Prime/Prime Pro. Outdoor & Camping flashlights I received my Prime A2 Pro v3 Warm yesterday. First impression: I really like this light - pretty intuitive UI for a multi-mode light, good spread of useful modes, build quality appears to be very good, and I really like the magnetic tail...

Prime / Prime Pro. Every Day Carry Lights.

The magnet is one of the reasons why I'm thinking about buying it. I go into a lot of crappily lit mechanical rooms at work and it would be nice to fix it to a convenient sprinkler pipe or electrical panel while I tinker with something or take notes.

Prime / Prime Pro. Every Day Carry Lights.

Re: Prime/Prime Pro. Outdoor & Camping flashlights A question for those who own the Pro model(s) - does the magnet interfere with using the lanyard? I imagine the lanyard clip could annoyingly get stuck to the magnet.

    Newest Gen Inova X1?

My trusty Inova X1 Gen 2 was recently stolen along with my briefcase. I loved that thing - cheap, crazy long runtime, simple, just enough light to get around, durable, Made in USA (as much as any flashlight is, at least). What generation are they up to now and how does it compare? I remember...

Need an Intrinsically Safe SAR Flashlight

I would love to use that but it's not certified as intrinsically safe. Intrinsic safety deals with how energy is stored in the device and how the device is designed to prevent micro-sparks from jumping between switch contacts and the like. It would have been great, especially since it is not a...

    EDC Made in USA

I've had my Peak Logan for over a year now. I absolutely love it. The QTC pill works great to modulate the power output...you just have to make sure you don't really crank the bezel when you go to full power - you can squash the pill, but if you don't act like a gorilla it's great.

Need an Intrinsically Safe SAR Flashlight

I'm looking for a high-power flashlight (I figure 500 lumens and up) that can be used to look down L-O-N-G utility tunnels. Must be intrinsically safe due to confined space concerns. Variable power would be a definite bonus. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Suggestions for Newbie

Thanks for the help everyone (especially Lumiescent - who provided additional rationalization to buy this thing). No relation to the other wintermute on this board, though I should drop them a PM - the name comes from the William Gibson novel Neuromancer - which started the whole cyberpunk...

    Suggestions for Newbie

I want to try to spend under $50. What's the build quality on the JetBeams? I'd rather sacrifice some brightness to get better quality.

    Suggestions for Newbie

Hi all, I'm new here. Wound up finding out about this place after seeing a pic of a lanyard someone made for a JetBeam CE-L (or whatever it's called) over at bladeforums (typical OCD German - current obsessions being bicycles, pocket knives, binoculars, and now maybe flashlights). Anyway...
