Loved the premium arc aaa light. Purchased many as gifts and they are still going strong today.

I've always thought there were the best looking AAA lights. Didn't love the donut ring glued to the head, but the fully knurled body and minimalist badging is super cool. I'd love to try another one but super rare and typically expensive when you see them.

To this day, I'd still like a AAA head on one of those extremely rare, rifle cartridge shaped AA bodies made by the guy who basically spearheaded the creation of the RCR16340. A CPF member from way back. I think his real name was John.

I wonder whatever happened to him. He slipped away after edcf shuttered.

Oh crap! I just realized who that is. RCR16340 also equals RCR123.
His name is Jon. And, the reason why he slipped away after Every Day Carry Forums shut down is because he was the owner and Head Admin. of EDCF. So, that makes sense why he slipped away after that occurred. Jon at one point many years ago kept EDCF running while he was literally homeless! I mean, I didn't know him that well on a personal basis. Just knew him a little bit back in the day. Jon was a great guy.... But he was always getting royally screwed over on business deals.

Not trying to speak ill of the man but by God, he was a HORRIBLE judge of character! Unfortunately that also extended to his Admin. and moderator team on EDCF. Early on, EDCF had a mass exodus of regular forum members. Many of them CPFers from back in the day. Then several years later it happened again. Then a 3rd time several more years later. That 3rd time, I was one of the regulars who left too. I mean, talk about drunk with (limited) power. It just got to the point of being beyond ridiculous what the Admin. and moderators were doing. I remember the owner of EDC Planet where everyone moved to being completely shocked as hell at the sudden, mass influx of new members.

No one ever spoke ill of Jon though. Like I said, great guy. He just ends up surrounding himself with miserable excuses for human-beings. Obviously, unintentionally.

The AA bodies were crafted by CPF member , Rothrandir. He is a very innovative and skilled machinist. And a nice fellow. His company (was/is)Valiant Concepts. My wife carries a wonderfully minimalist, titanium, keychain ink pen from Rothrandir's shop.
I haven't seen him around these parts in a bit, seems like their was a quiet and slow exodus of many internet forums from 2009-2013.

Agreed on all of that. In all of my dealings and interactions w/ Jon he was a solid, stand-up fella. I think the whole thing just got to be too much for him.

Oh cool I didn't know the history on that cell. I have a Securiled that uses it, the Piccolo. I knew someone that was on EDCF back in the day but it didn't appeal to me for some reason.
