Hi all, my first post here.

I recently bought a Coleman 220F which was in pretty good condition but I cleaned it up and replaced seals etc. It's got a slight pulse but I have not replaced the generator yet as I wanted to see if it was still ok before doing so. Lantern runs good except for one problem, it won't shut off

I am familiar with fuel lanterns and realize the fuel in the generator needs to burn off after shutting off the valve, but after 10 minutes and still going I am guessing something isn't right. It will still keep going slightly even with the cleaning needle turned up, only way to turn it off is to carefully vent the tank. I did check the valve when I had it all in pieces and it looked good and like I said lamp has been barely used, basically just been sitting in its cardboard box for the last 45 years. Guess its up for a valve replacement?

Well, after removing the stem and putting it back in the problem seems to have resolved, for now anyway :D
Not really sure what the problem was.
