Fill in engraving?

So I got a beautiful old white hunter almost band new. problem is the blade is engraved. Is there anything I can use to fill it in and refinish it? Anyone do work like this?

Depending on the depth of the engraving, maybe have it reground?

Ya it's deep.

Yup, that's deep.
Looks like plenty of stock on the blade.
Is a regrind even an option?

I like the look of a regrind.
It'll come out with a brushed satin look.
Folks that are very good will put an insane blade geometry on that and turn it into a real slicer.
Most regrinds are geared towards slicing geometry.

They'll want to remove the handles
