Interesting video. Solo journeys and tasks no problem blinding others with such a broad light(s). Wondering how straightforward it would be to practice flashlight etiquette when with others by covering the light with one's hand whenever facing someone.

This is where hand held lights shine as it is very easy to just point the light down or away from the other person to not blind them but a headlamp requires someone to actually turn their head in an unnatural direction when talking to them. I've worked with a headlamp on a hardhat and have people complain about me blinding them before. Basically when you are going to be around others one has to remember to "practice" the etiquette as even if you don't blind others they can have a hard time looking at you and often can't see your face due to the light in theirs. With a handheld flashlight you have to willfully point the light at their face instead of automatically doing so on a headlamp points down from the head not up from the shoulder to hip range where someone can still see the face of the one weilding a light.
