Heat sink in a "coupler" between body & head?

Seems to me that one could create threaded couplers that would extend the distance between a Maglite or Mini Maglite body & head, and they could even have fins that are functional & look really cool. The pill would be moved forwards into the coupler.

A 2 cell C or D Mag could be not more than the length of a 3 cell.
