Jump Hour watches - Just discovered this style/technology. Popular it seems in the 1950's.
The hour is displayed in a window, and it "jumps" to the next hour.
Minutes are displayed in various ways, usually beneath the hour window, I think usually they do not jump but the correct minute is under a hairline or in the center of a somewhat wider window.
There are some really cool watch face designs out there.

Also, "Driver's Watches" have a rectangular face on the EDGE of the watch, so you can read the watch with your hand on the steering wheel. I have seen both digital LED and Jump Hour styles, but expensive, seem to be scarce.
