Wow! Literally never heard of a flashlight doing that before.
I think your best bet is to email them directly and find out if your light's memory mode can be reset.

It is unusual. It's an indication of trouble with the cell, driver, or a dirty contact point.
The Driver does not have a user reset function that I am aware of.
When support gets back to Your email, they will have You check a few things prior to issuing an RMA to get You a replacement.
One question comes to mind, After getting to the level wanting to be remembered, how long are You leaving that mode on to be remembered? Does waiting longer than two seconds act the same?

Okay, sorry for the delay! After further investigation I found that my MXS was doing the same thing. Also realized that Boost was not working for more than a second in both.

Pulled both batteries out and found they were at 3.64 Volts with my DMM!
I charge both batteries in the MXS until the light is green. (I swap them out) Something is amiss with the charging base….
I charged both batteries in my External Fenix charger and both charged to 4.20 Volts. Both flashlights now work properly… I'm assuming this proves the charging base is faulty.
Hopefully tech support will send me a new base since it can't be trusted.
Thanks for the replies!
