I don't think you can draw power from a flashlight with micro usb port.

The reason it works for smartphones is because they support OTG devices, like a usb drive, keyboard, mouse, card reader, etc. The phone puts out a small amount of power at 5V just enough to get them working. The sole purpose of the microusb port on flashlights is to receive charge, not provide it. There is no 3.7V to 5V circuity in it.

It's still a pretty neat feature for anyone who owns Samsung gear. I carry a battery pack when travelling as I typically run low on my phone long before my iPad needs recharging.
