Please recommend a light for my living room. Track lighting. How to tell?

I want to replace the track lighting we have up now. It is so-so bright, but I would like the option of making it very bright.


I am not looking to get a tan from it, but would like a more powerful, bright light that makes it easy to read or play on the computer.

I have a basic track lighting set with 4 lights. They basically have a yellow hue to them when you look at them.

I want some with pure white, that I can use the dimmer switch on and have it be low for movies or nice and bright when reading.


I am not sure what exactly would make a light brighter and which brand would be worth getting.
