Recommend me a Red LED flashlight for stargazing

Question to OP, would more than one red brightness level be useful? I agree with other comment, red light
outdoors e.g. in the woods is not great for navigating. As for not wanting red headlamp (or bicycle rear light),
got it, just threw in those suggestions as there are lots of cheap options.

BTW the 3AAA multi-5mm ("showerhead") light linked earlier may work but appears overpriced...almost dollar-store
by the look of it except with red LEDs which are probably cheaper than white. Specialty item and price gets jacked up.

Another question, does actual red wavelength matter in these cases?

I received today a Convoy S2 with 620 nm red led (KR CSLNM1.23 SST-20-DR)
I bought it from the official store and it was cheap.

620 nm red is what I was looking for, I don't like too deep red.
It is really beautiful and also has a very low Moonlight level.

With that low level it could make a good bedside light.

I have both the C01R and the C01 Special. Both very nice budget keychain lights. The R with the SST-20 has a slightly deeper red color if that matters to you (I'm not convinced it helps at all) while the Special appears to have a fully potted head like the other C01 5mm versions.

I have a couple C01R SST-20 Deep Red, they're potted.

Some variations were noted not potted. That was true for the Sophia 5mm. Some colors weren't potted. All my black and green ano are..

Unless recently restocked, the SST20 DR has not been available on Sofirn website for some time now.
