A friend and I did some night-time mountain biking last night. Right before leaving, I tossed my L4 into my pack as an afterthough. Well, about 5 minutes into the ride one main light battery failed. My friend went to the backup one. 30 minutes later, that failed also. I had no backup to loan him, so we're in the middle of nowhere with only the 1 light on my bike.

I dug out the L4 and mounted it on his bike with a twofish lockblock. He was like "daaaang!". We were able to ride on then at full speed back to camp. Only problem was that he couldn't lead due to poor color rendition of the brown leaves. He kept losing the trail and running off into the woods, but he could follow just fine.

Wish this light picked up reds and browns better.
