    I feel the same way about inductors - took me a while to find the best compromise between efficiency & size... and my little project wasn't nearly as complex as yours though.

    With regards to shipping, I've only posted a few items in small boxes or large padded envelopes - often by Xpresspost. Would your driver survive a trip in a small padded envelope? (I don't know how delicate the double stacked design is). If so I would assume regular mail would be your best bet unless you are posting large quantities. Goldserve has sent multiple flupics in a single unpadded (if I recall correctly) envelope and those arrived o.k. Watch the dimensions though, otherwise you'll get charged extra for oversized envelopes.

    Perhaps other canadians can chime in with their own experiences.

    Thanks PA! I'm pretty sure a padded envelope is sufficient. But if it's mailed as a parcel, the post office will charge $10, which doesn't make sense to me because it's much more expensive than international parcel. I'll try and see if they would allow it as a letter mail.

    Hi RV7,

    Maximum thickness allowed for bubble envelopes via Canada Post Lettermail is 20mm, they use a slotted plastic template to check for size. Driver boards, LED modules, and other small parts can be shipped tucked inside a plastic bottle cap for added crush protection.

    If your boards will fit in the same manner, Lettermail costs $1.10 under 100g and $1.86 for 101-200g within Canada. USA and International Letter-Post will require the postage sticker to be printed out at the post office.

    Hope this helps!

    I've been following this thread for a while, and my these boards are looking great. I think these are well poised to become the a staple in high performance drivers. I especially appreciate your attention to detail with the inductor considerations, et al, as I am sure many others will when their light is still going after all the others die. I'm in for at least 2 of the Li Ion ones.

    Anyone have an idea whether or not these will fit in Arc LS or Rev 2's? I would be in for half dozen if I can find lights they will fit in.....

    From post #1

    There’re three boards, one for AA and two for Li Ion. They are of the standard 15mm and 17/18mm diameters so fit in a wide range of flashlights.

    15mm = .590"------17mm = .670"------18mm = .708"

    I didn't notice this thread til now. Maybe it can fit in my MTE Fenix L1p clone.

    Are you going to release the source code so users can hack it?

    I don't want the strobe, would rather have just 2 or 3 levels instead of 4, and if there's 4 levels there should be one ultra low (0.1%), then three approx equal steps at 5%, 20%, 100%. There should not be a 60% step.

    I'm interested in one of the next version of the AA board with strobe.
    Got busted lights? Send me a PM and depending on the situation, I'll take 'em off your hands. I always like a good modding challenge.

    You are doing fine. The fact that you took a little more than 1 month time to produce these boards is amazing, include the fact that this is your hobby not your full time job.

    Please take your time with the Li-Ion board, include some safety protection that will benefit some bare Li-Ion users.
