Omg your little SW paracord figurines are so cool Essexman. I have to try that someday.

Hey Stormdrane, I really like the simplicity of your lanyard especially paired with that "crown" (or is it diamond? )
One question though, what technique do you use the seal off the end of tithe paracord?? It sooooooo neat and perfect on the orange one.

In general, where do you guys purchase little lanyard accessories? (eg. rings, carabiner clip things, special fobs etc.) -I don't mean the SW ones though .

    Thanks
In 'The Ashley Book of Knots' that one is actually called 'the crown and diamond'. I finish the ends of the paracord by pulling out about 1/4" worth of the inner strands, trim those with scissors, pull the outer sheath back down, then a quick heating/melting of each end with my lighter and crimping flat with my hemostats, for already gutted paracord just melt/crimp. If you don't have hemostats, you can use a variety of pliers with toothy grip patterns, or pinch/roll the melted ends with knurled sections of tools or pens...

There's a vast selection of online vendors, distributors, & individuals to source for accessories, plus ebay and amazon, and you may find some things in the buy/sell/trade section of the forums. Some local brick and mortar sporting goods stores, bait & tackle, hardware, Army/Navy surplus, Walmart and craft stores carry useful bits and pieces as well.

Oh wow that's really cool and surprising as I would have never of thought of that. Thanks for the awesome tip!

With a couple of feet of paracord, I tied a pair of two-strand stopper knots, one before and another after the mandala knot.

Been a while since this one has seen the light of day, buried in a pouch in a gadget drawer. I was checking batteries and resetting the time on watches and clocks (Fall back ~ Daylight Saving Time) and pulled it out for a test.

Thank you all very much !
It would surprise me if there was a tutorial for this lanyard...
But you can find lots of tutorials about spool knitting, that's basically all you need to know.

Very nice work storm. I bought a couple spool knitting set ups and am ready to give it a go. I take it with me to my cabins way off grid and it's a perfect way to relax.

Ma & Pa gave me an iProtec 1400 zoomable LED flashlight for my birthday, and I used up a remnant strand of paracord to tie a Turk's head knot around the grip section and a simple wrist lanyard with a two-strand stopper knot.

The wrist lanyard that came with my new XTAR Venus WK16 flashlight was too small to fit over my hand and onto my wrist, so I just grabbed a scrap length of red 1.4mm cord and tied a simple doubled lanyard/diamond knot/loop to use until I get around to making something more permanent for the light...

An 8 lead 5 bight gutted paracord Turk's head knot over an oval wood bead, on a leather bootlace wrist lanyard with two-strand Matthew Walker knot., attached to the flashlight's pocket clip with a reinforced ring hitch.

I made a short video tutorial on Instagram showing how to make a Plafond knot with paracord.

Following the positive feedback, I made some more that I thought I'd share with you all.

Next the Classic box lanyard, done in two parts.

Then the knot I get asked about the most, the Monkey Fist knot - https://www.instagram.com...t&igshid=op84dmod7400

New to this video tutorial game, all feedback welcome
