Didn't see anything here posted about this light so I thought people might be interested to have a look and see what they think.

Before you scoff at the price look at the "what comes in the box" and it's not so bad + the excellent Panasonic 3100mAh battery and a charger.

3.1 Ah x 3.7V / 1.5 hrs / ~3.2Vf = ~2400 mA (not yet accounting for driver losses)

So 800 lumen is probably the top end of the U2 bin at that current, not yet accounting for optics losses either.

U2s are only available in cool white, with low CRI (65).

There's minimal heatsinking/finning so not sure how well it would handle extended running (ie as a bike light).

Looks stylish and solid though, different optics are nice if you need them (though a proper bike beam pattern would be better)

Yeah, it's so new I haven't seen any reviews on MTBR where I spend way to much time. Probably better as a mtn. bike light vs road as there is no cutoff but still effective none the less. They already have a new improved mount for it that just came out.

I can personally vouch for their standard Xera helmet light which is just amazing and tiny. Mine is the pre U2 so the new ones are a bit better even I guess. Many happy users with this light.

as to heatsinking / no finning ...
thats a PLUS, as it makes for a non-edgy-cutty but sleek looking light
(edges and teeth and such are totally unnecessary and in a pocketable / bike light of no use at all)

Thanks to the wind while biking, no fins are needed

thats been the pro's; price is the con, imho
even a full moddoolar host + nailbender + charger + AW cells (2 pc.) is within that "offer"

The latest version of this light puts out 935 lm and is spec'd at 950 lm, also the panasonic cell is 3400 mah that comes with this light.
The body of the light looks redesigned with many rifles in the body of the flashlight, should work better at cooling the heat off as the
area surface gets bigger than with a smooth surface.

Looks to be one of the best lights on the market currently, I'm thinking of getting one for $92 here in Sweden.
