Beautiful work, as always ....

I had a couple of questions -

* Will this work with a standard McClicky Pak ?

* If so, is there any way to order just the bezel/head/light engine assembly ?

* Or does anyone happen to want both Ti & TixDa tubes but only one bezel/head/LE ... ?

Yitsan - what is the beam profile of this light? With the larger reflector it would appear to be a bit of a thrower but I just want to be sure.

BTW - that damascus blended into the Ti is just beautiful.

Firstly, this is a spectacular light. It is a thrower in my opinion. I posted some pictures here blended with McG parts:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...your-GIZMO-!&p=4400091&viewfull=1#post4400091

I have moved the light engine into an Aleph 3 head. The Nova body is on my Haiku head and the Nova head is on my 123 Pak.

I have put a stock McG LE into the Tain head increasing throw (a lot!).

Note that I have found the eswitch does not allow me to switch modes with a stock LE board from McG.

Also note that the clip is not swappable with McG or JHanko clips.

Drive levels are great. There is a small pre-flash with the Nova LE on initial fire up.

Archimedes, not to speak for Tain, but I am pretty sure he will only want to sell the whole light (I tried too). Glad I bought the whole light, however!

Thanks very much for confirming what does ( & does not! ) interchange with McGizmo parts ....

I have already had someone express interest in purchasing a "partial" light, so I will take those further discussions to PM :)

Thanks for the information. I didn't realize at first that this is a fully Aleph compatible light. I'd still really love to see a beamshot before committing if anyone can post one or PM me.

Took the liberty of taking some beamshots. White balance was not locked so tints looked off, thus I converted to B&W. First, the contenders:

HDS 170N (Nichia 219B):

Aleph 3 head:

Haiku:

V10R (from SOYCD!):

Nova:

All lights on max. Except Nova - one above was on med - thanks SOYCD for noticing.

The Nova does appear a bit more focused in the picture than it appears in real life. There is lots of spill - very wide - much more so than any of the others. Spill is wider, but not brighter.

{Some of the images above are not changing to B&W for some reason...}
