Saddens me to see it all come to this. I get it though, I would be very upset too if he had $300+ of mine.

I feel the same way. The weight of it hit me back in December when I decided to forward it all to an admin. At the same time, I think helping his customers is the right thing to do. What a confusing world we live in...

This guys is a thief . I am going to speak to my lawyer about filing a class action lawsuit against this guy. If anyone would like to join in and add information just send me a message. Now that we have his name and business address there are further steps that can be taken. Also I sent a friend request to him mom on facebook. Since she is so proud of her son for opening his new vapor business with the money he stole from our community. I will direct her to this website.

Thanks for the info IsaacL. I don't want to sue or anything. I just want my light. :-(

I'll use the info to try to get in contact with him and post if I can.

Cheers.

I just called the number listed above and he was working with a customer. I left a message with my number and the truth (that I was following up with an old flashlight order...) We'll see if he calls back.

He did reply to an email I sent a couple of weeks ago. He said that his Dad had just passed away and he would work on getting my light to me after he has dealt with that. Sad to say that my Dad just died a week later. :-(

There is hope. He appears to be responding. I was always cordial in my attempts to contact him and am giving him the benefit of the doubt. When it comes right down to it, it's just a damned flashlight. I do want mine and really have never found anything that I like as much, but if it takes another few months? I really don't care that much. It's been years. lol

Good luck to all.

Looks like he was telling the truth. I found this link via Google, so I think it's ok to share here:

Updated two links that were broken

I've completely given up on getting my light. I just wrote him an email and told him he could send me a $300.00 vape product and some Menthol oil. Maybe at least I'll get my original investment back out of the deal. I do like to vape on occasion, but I get lost in the dark more often. lol

Good luck to you all.

I'm really sorry to hear that. To my knowledge the two or three guys that have received their lights had to file both PayPal and fraud complaints with either their local PD or state AG's office.

My recommendation is based on DOJ policy, which directs all victims of state or local fraud to contact their local police department and/or state attorney general's office. Agencies like the Better Business Bureau, Bureau of Consumer Finance, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, etc... have very limited jurisdiction that does not cover this type of fraud. I have already made my case about the BBB in another thread.

Here is a link to Georgia's AG website. I also assume that Dallas City Police Department is your local LEA. If you did not pay with PayPal, you can still file a complaint but you'll have to go through your bank or credit card company.

The problem is that most people are unwilling to pursue legal action. However, criminal complaints are easy (and free) to file and usually are enough to get the other party to respond.

I am not an attorney and this is not legal advice.

I'm an outsider looking in to this situation, just curious.

Are you saying they filed fraud complaints before, or after they recieved their lights?

Before. Filing a fraud complaint in the absence of fraud (i.e. you received what you payed for) is a criminal offense and could result in a "filing of a false report" charge. The specific law varies from state to state but in general lying on any criminal complaint is a big no no. In Pennsylvania (for example) Criminal Code Title 18, Chapter 49 covers some falsification offenses.

Three people I know that received lights are Gonefishing, Spydiesteve, and Hig789. To my knowledge, they all filed or threatened to file complaints. Obviously, any complaints are dropped if the case gets resolved.

I am also out $300+ and have been ignored for 15 months now.
I guess it's time to do something substantial to get the desired response.
Thank you for your information sir.
