Does Armytek have a service center in North America to handle repairs and replacements or would we have to ship a damaged or defective light back to China?
Does Armtek pay for return shipping of a defective light?

Thanks.

We do not have a storehouse & service center in North America yet. All the products that undergo warranty and have to be replaced should be sent to our factory. We ask a customer to send the item by the cheapest method available in his country and refund $15 for the shipping when the product reaches the factory. We also pay for the return shipping.

As the cheapest shipping is usually the slowest one we usually try to send the new product when the defective one has been sent and do not wait until it comes to the factory. This option is available in most cases when we are sure that the product needs repair at the factory. In some strange cases when we have little information about the problem and the customer refuses (or can't) give us additional photos/videos we need to wait for the product to reach us to be sure there was any problem with the light. I'll explain =) For example, there are cases when a customer can't cope with the Pro model and insists that something goes wrong - and at the end it appears that a customer has changed settings incidentally and it could be "fixed" by a simple reset. And as you understand the person's difficulties can't be considered a warranty case=)

That's why we always ask some general questions and need a photo or video of the problem. It helps us to understand the problem and simplify the replacement process.

Where is your factory?

I agree it is fair that you're willing to both refund shipping (up to $15), and send the replacement item before you've received the defective unit (with conditions). Great customer service, IMO!

You were selling both the Predator and Viking Pro V2.5 until February of this year. For how long will parts and service be available?
Will we still be able to get o-rings and rubber buttons for the tail caps etc.?

.. who made a purchase very recently gave a pretty scathing review and ominous prediction of your future:
Just read it.. and this holds me back for now. First want to see some reviews, on these new models, before I buy.

Armytek warranty is NOT hassle free! Beware!

I bought a Wizard headlamp about 4 months ago. About a month ago I was having problems with turning the light on. Would have to click it twice to turn on but the problem was intermittent. I contacted Armytek and after some back and forth emails they suggested I try a couple of things like recharging and changing the batteries. I did and still not resolved. They told me to take a video of it but this problem is intermittent, and don't have the time to sit there and wait for it to happen.

It finally took about 3 weeks to come to some type of resolution which was to send it back to China, and they will ship out a new unit. This could take up to 5 weeks or more before I get a new unit! So if I send this back to them, by the time I first sent the first email to the time I actually get another unit, it will be about 2 months! Before I get another light!

To me this is not hassle free!

Armytek,

Do you sell through Amazon? If not someone is selling under your name on Amazon and a guy named Rafael, who made a purchase very recently gave a pretty scathing review and ominous prediction of your future: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DP60NGC/?tag=cpf0b6-20.

Hi!

No, we don`t sell through Amazon. We know the person who has written this review. He is attacking us on our social networks from March. :) The problem is that the customer didn`t notice an official announcement on our website that in a period on February 14-28, 2015 we were not able to ship any orders. So his flashlight had been sent after that period. Our service specialist answered each his letter and each his call.

Soooo, they are going to replace your light, but you are upset because China is far away and shipping is slow?

Three weeks to come to a solution is a little long, but other than that, it seems they are doing their part.

Dear pure!

We always meet our customers halfway and try to solve customers` problems on the spot.

At first we want to understand the problem and find a right solution via correspondence. In other companies you should send a flashlight with defect to the expertise straight away. And it will take much more time, than our service offers.

Sure, our service specialist did his best to help you and you can use your flashlight.

Thank you for your post, don`t hesitate to write your opinion here. It will help us to improve our service.

Doing their part? You think waiting 3 weeks to finally do something is doing their part? When you have a warranty issue it should not take 3 weeks for them to finally do something. I am not talking about the shipping time. I understand it will take a while since the factory is in China but come on- 3 weeks just so they can say, "ship it back to us"!

Also if you try calling the company, no one ever picks up and goes straight to message.

So let me ask you something, what exactly is hassle free?

Would really like to know if there are more customers who had issues with Armytek "no hassle warranty". I am sure there are many out there that basically gave up because it was too much of a hassle dealing with this company. If you read some of the Amazon reviews they all say the warranty is horrible.

Yes, 3 weeks for making a decision is a long time, we agree. We will contact our service center to find out what the problem was.

Can`t send you a PM, it is closed. Could you send me your contact information please?
