On paper, this one has a lot to like. I don't know much about 26650 batteries, but I have been interested in them ever since I learned they can be used in flashlights. I've got my first such flashlight en route as I write. If I like the tube size as much as I think I will, it won't be my last. The increased battery capacity is always welcome.
One competitor has announced plans to use a 5000K CCT, 93-95 CRI (Ra) version of the Cree XHP50 emitter. I would sure like to see something like that used in the Acebeam EC50. Either XHP50 or XHP70 would be fine. Just give me the neutral tint, and 90+ CRI.
