3-4 weeks ago we bought a new K60 to see how it'd compare to the TK75 2015 (my favorite and most used light).
It took some time getting used to the UI (tailcap switch & magnetic control ring) but now I really like it.
Here's my list on the strengths of each.
TK75 2015
- Slightly better overall build quality
- More compact
- Ability to add extensions
- Instant Turbo from any mode
- More stable tail stand
- Tripod/sling stud
- Runs cooler
- Supports CR123's
K60
- One LED
- More horsepower
- Longer reach
- Nicer overall beam pattern
- Moonlight Level 1 low setting
- Perfect (general purpose) level 2
- Aluminum reflector
- More durable and scratch resistant lens
- Sharper, crisper AR coating
- Better UI (tail switch and control ring)
- Ambidextrous battery carrier
- Includes a useable holster
Both lights have a lot to offer. But after using the K60 every day for almost a month, I now (hands down) prefer it to the TK75 2015.
Just ordered a second K60.
