What sort of driver does this thing have? The obvious competition, the Noctigon Meteor uses a boost driver that seems to keep output reasonably consistent outside of thermal and low-voltage protection.

What tint will the XP-G3 version be? How about making a version with the Nichia 219C?

And the most important bit: what's the planned price point? This light looks nice, but not necessarily better than the Meteor. If it cost less, that would raise its appeal considerably.

I'm assuming the XP-G3 will be one of the highest flux bins, so probably around 6500k. The 219B will probably be similar to what was in the E14, so 5000k.

Vinh will most likely get a hold of this light and mod it and offer his own LEDs, one of which being the 219C.

It's listed at 130usd on Manker's website; available now.

I like the form factor of this light much better than the meteor, which is a little too wide in the grip to be comfortable. I always thought a 3x 1860 meteor would be nice, and Manker's done it.

Naturally, runtimes won't be as long, and the optics are more floody compared to the M43, so there are tradeoffs.

Regarding modding this one, I'll suggest that a power boost is possibly all that is easily done ( driver maybe). The stock light offers a choice of emitters, but to swap out a dozen will be very expensive for a modder.

This looks like a great stock light to me rather than a modders dream. :)

I have the Manker E14 (quad) in 219B, love it, ordered the XP-G2 version - knowing I don't particularly like cool LEDs. Ordered one from Vinh with XP-L HI and his driver. Really like the E14 form factor so I wanted two of them.

If I got this I'd settle for 6500 lumens.

yes got one coming should be here by monday - other than the fact it's smaller than the M43 I like that the optics are protected much better with the body than the M43 with a thin bezel ring and a big glass lens which is always in the back of your head if you were to drop it.

My tracking info shows mine will be delivered tomorrow.
10 days from China to So. Calf. 3 days of this was being held in customs.
Couldn't resist ordering one - just on looks alone.
Very interested to see how this compares to my Noctigon M43vn (Goldilocks Mod)

No comparison to your goldilocks (maybe in tint if you got the Nichia) but your Goldie will have 5x the throw and 3000 lumens more, but the spill is brilliant on my nichica m34 and size is good too

My MK34 arrived today.
First impressions are very positive.
I have only played with for about 10 mins.
Excellent build quality.
Great size and comfortable in your hand.
I don't think I will be selling my Goldilocks anytime soon, based in large part to the differences that you accurately pointed.
Can't wait for the sun to go down and check this little bad boy out....
