I like the trit slot, and the electronic tail switch is recessed to allow tail standing... Hopefully it also is unlikely to activate accidentally. :) The thermal regulation sounds like a good feature as well. Thank you for including a Moonlight mode, and for not starting on Medium. Low, medium, and high in that order is good! Starting on Moonlight would be good too...

SS is generally sturdy and resist scratches... So for small lights, where weight isn't an issue, I like stainless steel.

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
SS is heavy, and heat dissipation can be a problem. But perhaps you have found a solution to the latter challenge. Tell us more about the copper sleeve inside the body...

Like, it beautiful next to my laptop.
Dislike, too heavy to carry.

How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
It beautiful.

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Too heavy to carry, titanium much lighter.

Other than the engraved band, the Torpedo looks very much like the no name SS "Bullet Light" I got from Bangood for about $10 a few years ago. So, if the LED is not a angry blue tint and it's under $20, I like it. ;)
I got the light for the novelty. However, when you set it down on a hard surface it will roll away! Plus it small and slips around in your hands due to smooth finish. The button to turn it on and off is very small too. With gloves on, I can barely operate it.

I am not a big fan of Stainless lights due the weight and thermal properties.

We need more info on the LED & User Interface in order to forum a more educated opinion of the Torpedo. Will it be offered in other materials? Led choices? Pocket clip or accessories?

My bottom line: I think the light looks pretty good and has some potential. But it is a dated design in a less than idea material with a hard to handle ergonomics.

I like it sooo much. That design and tritium...

How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Sturdy and reliable, what more could i say?

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Maybe coz of the weight.

Thanks for this opportunity!!

In general, that's a nice-looking little torch. I'm not sure about the flame engraving on the gold-plated band, though; that looks a bit cheesy. The tritium vial in the tailcap, though...yummy. Also, it's a little odd that there's no mention of beam colour; there's plenty of mentions that it's a V5 XP-L, but that's just Cree's nomenclature for binning. Reading their datasheet, that puts it anywhere between 4000K and 6200K (below 4000K there is no V5 bin listed). Oh, and thank you for not including the various disco blinky modes; those are usually pointless. No knurling or any external features to speak of will make this interesting to handle in the rain.

Stainless should have a good feel to it, and it should stand up to some abuse.

However, as with everyone else, weight is a concern with stainless. It's about 50% heavier than the likes of Olight's S1, and my keychain is unwieldy enough as it currently stands.

- CR123 is not the best battery, but it could do. This is a specialty light. It looks very nice and would appeal to the enthusiast. Why not have a specialty LED like the Nichia 219B or 219C to keep it cutting edge and current with latest high CRI?

How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
- I love Stainless Steel flashlights. So classy looking they endure day to day abrasions very well. I would choose stainless steel of every flashlight if it were available.

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
-I only don't choose stainless if it isn't available.

Like it!
It looks really nice, like the shape and the trit.
The modes looks fine but don't like to go through the other modes to get to moonlight.

How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
SS usually gives a solid feel to a light and holds up well to wear. Looks good.
Downside might be the extra weight.

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Alu lights are lighter and may be preferred sometimes.

Thank you for the event!

1.) Tell me your opinion about Torpedo 007, like or Dislike ?

As an overall used CR123 battery drainer, LIKE !!!

Likes:
- miniature size
- no sharp knurling or edges
- rounded / melted bezel edges
- CR123
- Higher high output
- Lower low output

Dislikes:
- Not a "dial-an-output-level"
- Not TIR lens

2.) How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?

For miniature, mixed with keys and coins, deep in pouch or bag, a stainless steel flashlight would be easier to find due to weight and polish, and can better resist scratches compared to aluminum.

3.) Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?

There aren't any offered with my desired specs.

Cheers!

LIKE: Size, moonlight mode, tritium, overall look.

How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
I Like the look and feel of Stainless Steel Flashlights. Very refined.

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
The only reason I might not choose SS is if it's too heavy. I don't suspect the weight will be a problem on the light of this size.

Thanks for the opportunity. Very generous of you!

2. One Entry One Chance, More Entry More Chances. But Only 1 Times Allowed In One Day

You are telling that we can send another reply every day for the next 20+ days (with pretty much the same quoted answers, I think)? Wouldn't once a week be more adequate and keep the thread nicer to read?

Anyway:

1. I like the modes (especially the moonlight mode), the materials, the looks (mostly), the tritium slot and the good quality inner parts (glass, use of copper inside etc.). I have mixed feelings about the tail design. I don't like CR123 in general and certainly don't like having to go through high to get to the moonlight mode. :sigh: I would also want to know the color temperature of the led.

2. I like stainless steel flashlights. I carried one in my keychain for 4 years until the electronics broke.

3. Why not to choose? Well, with bigger lights and depending on applications, the weight can be an issue.

Its a beautiful flashlight, but the design isnt excactly revolutionizing. The light looks great anyways, and the tritium slots + tritiums is a nice feature. It looks like it can tailstand too!

Stainless steel flashlights are nice and durable, and i carry one right now.

It might be a little heavy, but not for me...

1. I Like the light. it is very handsome and I love the slots for tritium.

2. I love stainless because it is so durable and does very well in my pocket with my keys and knife.

3. Stainless is heavy and it's not the best heatsink but this hasn't bothered me so far.

The design is really nice (tri slot, two colors, and body design).

2. How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Restistant against scratches.

3. Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
It's heavy - have an AA stainless flashlight, which I use only at home. The Torpedo is smaller and could be a better edc.

  • Tell me your opinion about Torpedo 007, like or Dislike ?
I like it so far. The photos look good. High CRI would be nice.

  • How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
I like stainless steel for pocket carry. Anodized aluminum can scratch away. Stainless steel looks good even when scratched.

  • Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Weight, heat sinking, and price on a stainless steel flashlight are sometimes worse than on a similar aluminum model.

Thanks for the chance to win a Torpedo 007.

I like it, the stainless tail switch with a tritium insert is great.

How do you love Stainless Steel Flashlight?
I like stainless because it does not show everyday wear and tear.

Why you don't choose a Stainless Steel Flashlight?
Usually EDC stainless lights are twisty and stainless does not twist smoothly. Tail switch solves that.

Thanks for the giveaway.
