I haven't been in in awhile they used to be all over the place, seems to mostly be multi cell monsters that all the posts are about now. What is the king of throw in single 18650 now a days? Also what would be the king of single cell throw in a larger battery size? I'm so rusty maybe that is 26650?? I saw the Lumintop SD6vn thread but that is a micro single cell thrower. Thanks

king of throw single 18650 would be the m25c2vn Turbo. Does 700+kcd with xpg2 PDT and 500+ with xml2 PDT. the regular m25c2vn does 300kcd and the u21vn with xpg2 does 320kcd. The new T21vn does 500kcd with 2 18650 or 2 imr 18340s which equals the size of 1 18650. There is a few choices

Oh wow they are some incredible numbers! Although i'm not a fan of 'Turbo Modes' because they are of such short duration. I will do a search on m25c2vn thanks.

Check out eagtac in the 2 or 2 1/2 inch reflectors, or larger. It is hard to know what you mean by king and popular.

Single cell king is what I meant. Not looking for one of Vinh's 8 battery 20,000 lumen Frankenstein lights this time around lol.

EDIT...I looked up the m25c2vn, the thread is old and the thread seems to come to a screetching hault...a couple of posts here & there over the span of 2 years...surely this light had to be dethroned as the single 18650 king of throw by now?? No?? And are they discontinued anyway? It looks like that's definitely the case.

Turbo as in the version with the massive head not modes. Mine was direct drive single mode from vinh. I was a fiat lux aswell. Wish i still had mine. Nothing single 18650 has beat it yet.

Hey,
Single 26650 acebeam ec60 throws over 600m with 2000lm. Don't know if that's a record breaker, but I think it is impressive either way!

I have the M25C2 Turbo straight from Eagtac with a ~5000K XP-L Hi custom emitter. It throws farther than I can see without optic enhancement, or usually atmospheric moisture comes into play. Perhaps in open water looking for a boat or something larger, or using binoculars or something, this amount of throw can be useful. The 2.5 inch reflector Eagtac with XP-L Hi is just about right for about all my uses, with the Convoy C8 XP-L Hi handling things just fine 90% of the time. The big reflector Turbo is heavier by quite a bit and does not get carried much. Tint is good on those three.

Vinh says he can make the already impressive olight javelot even more so. Mine is on the way to him now.

Manker u21 700m with an xhp35 hi .. single 18650 or 26650

Since we are in a modders forum....manker u21vn 1,130 meters of throw with xpg2 pdt.

As Alex said above, the t21vn would still be impressive thrower on a single 18650. On 2x it is 500kcd/1400 meters throw, at 25% loss due to only 1 battery you are still in the 375kcd range, still throwing farther than a u21vn.

Apologies for not knowing this thread is in the realm of Skylumen. Browsing 'What's New' here on CPF does not really make it obvious which sub forum a thread is in.

This last Christmas one of the original Skylumen SL-1 was given as a gift to a friend from me. He loves it and it is no doubt the King of his collection. It is a practical user, and exceeded the throw of my (also given away this Christmas) Olight M2X-UT factory redomed, though not by that much visually.

As so many readers here know, Vinh brings a lot of fun to the night.
