I bought 2 7W "hausbell" lights from amazon and I would like to remove the strobe and low mode. I tried the trick with the pencil lead on the capacitor but it had no effect. I also tried shorting the capacitor but the light would not turn on. I found this schematic of the circuit and it looks correct. http://www.datasheet-pdf.info/entry/CX2859 I am thinking of removing the capacitor altogether. Would that work? Thanks
