Hi Guys,
Looking to mod one of my Lightforce 240 Blitz lights for long distance fox shooting. General consensus is that a straight HID light tends to be too bright and unsettles the foxes. I have tried the red filter on the 100W halogen 240 but that cuts the range down considerably so I was thinking of converting one of the 240's to a high output HID and running that with the red filter permanently. Hopefully that will increase the usable range without driving the foxes off.
So what HID conversion would you guys recommend in terms of wattage and colour temp? Is 5000K the right choice?
This is running off a dedicated 4 Gauge feed from the battery so power consumption is not a factor so do I go a 100W unit or are they not worth it?
Thanks
