Bond had a sense of humor in the Roger Moore years.
I heard a story on the radio about a guy who saw Roger and Mrs Moore entering a movie theatre in New York. The guy said his kid says "hey dad, that's James Bond"... "can I go say hello?" The dad said it was ok. He said Roger hugged him and said "thanks for remembering me" and Mrs Bond hugged the kid saying it was the first time in quite some time someone had made Roger so happy.
The Saint waa his best work I thought, but to many all of those other Bonds were imposters.
