Re: new acebeam x-80

Are those xhp70.2s? They look yellow like the .2's but I can clearly see the 4 LEDs like the normal xhp50/70s.

And yes, I agree this design has vinh written all over it. Maybe he needs to start patenting his designs!

They are xhp 50.

Re: new acebeam x-80

It looks like a single-stranded, positive-sense, enveloped RNA flashlight.

Oh, my.... My pants got too small when I saw this and imagined Vihn supercharging it.

The top banner advertisement claims 22,000 lumen! Looks pretty awesome for a show off light, add the Vihn treatment and this thing should be quite the little heater.

acebeam.com/x80

Additional descriptive info added recently at upper right. Notable is: "...employing a thermal-relief valve to equalize air pressure..." and

"...The standard battery cartridge takes 4 x high-drain 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable cells - a matched set of protected button-top batteries supporting drains of at least 10A is strongly advised. An optional high-capacity 8-cell pack can be rapid-charged with a (supplied) AC power pack. ..."

I eagerly await throw specs, both before and after Vinh54 enhancement. :)

Looking forward to your review! Is that the production version? The center doesn't look the same from the pictures on the Acebeam website.

Re: new acebeam x-80

da~ng....

I like those drone shots. It's a unique view I don't see too often :)

Is that a vent in the head (where it says "do not block")?? lol I wonder how effective that design is. Maybe it's designed so you can blow into it to help cool it off faster?

Personally, I still question the effectiveness of using 12 xhp50.2's to get the same lumen output that the x45vn does in just 4 xhp70.2s.

Anyhow, good review man. Really enjoyed it!
