Hey, Flashaholics,

You may have found that Klarus now has 2most popular thrower, G35 & XT30R, but maybe now you wonder which one is better? How to choose between them?

Here some useful comparisons of Klarus Searchlight G35 and XT30R for your reference:

1. LED

Both use CREE XHP35 HI D4 LED to ensure high lumens output and long beam distance, and target for search/hunting area.

2. Reflector/Max Beam Distance

But the thrower G35 adopts updated coated reflector to provide the perfect beam spot for exceptional distance illumination that at 1000meters' max beam distance, while the thrower XT30R adopts mirror polished reflector with 820meters' max beam distance.

3. Max Output/Battery

G35 takes three 18650 batteries to generate out 2000lumens' max output, While XT30R takes 7.4V 2pcs 3400mAh 8650 Li-ion Batteries assembly with 1800lumens' max output.
Btw, G35 needs 18650 batteries, three of them to run at 2,000 lumens. But if you're just needing a light for a little while, you just need to see something, you maybe want to use the S.O.S. function, then you're able to just put in one battery, and the flashlight will still be able to function.

4. Switches

G35 searchlight got a dual switch design. It's got that fancy primary switch on the tail. But it also has a nice side switch. But XT30R has dual-tactical tail switches and also a side switch that gives you a lot of options on how you'd like to operate the flashlight. You can lock out the side switch if you'd only prefer using the dual-tail switches though.

5. Charging

G35 can work with Klarus 18650 batteries 18650UR26 with USB charging port, but The XT30R is rechargeable with charging port! Rechargeable flashlights are a bonus for many users and a must for others. The XT30R has Klarus' patented magnetic charging port that Klarus users love! This magnetic charging port allows for easy and secure charging without worrying about the cable slipping out or fiddling with micro USB cables. Included with the flashlight is a USB magnetic charging cable so you can charge the XT30R while you work at your computer or while you're driving around doing errands. The side switch also acts a battery capacity indicator so you know when it's time to charge the flashlight and you can plan your usage accordingly.

6. Main Features

Both are tactical searchlight with smart ITS temperature control system, one-touch low/one-touch turbo function, capacity indicator light, but G35 has featured with a new Klarus innovation that also used in XT2CR, XT11GT and XT12GT. What is it? We are proud to tell you that these models are integrated with intelligent load checking system, it means when Turbo mode is activated for the first time after any battery change, the flashlight will detect whether the batteries inserted can safely support full power output(main lamp will flash once). If the batteries cannot support the full power load, Turbo mode will automatically decrease the power setting to ensure that the inserted batteries can be used safely and reliably. Meanwhile, the intelligent load checking system support multiple batteries and will show a warning with orange LED flashing without any harm to the light if the battery is broken/reversed polarity or you carelessly put a CR123 inside the light for charging

9. Size & Weight

For Size, G35 is only hand-sized at 160.2mm/6.31"(Length)*73mm/2.87"(Bezel Diameter)*45.5mm/1.79"(Body Diameter), while XT30R much longer, (Head)58mm(2.28") x (Body)25.4mm(1") x (Lenght)250.3mm(9.85").
But for weight, G35 is a litter heavier than XT30R, it is 371g without battery, while XT30R only 354g with battery.

Both has some advantages, which one you like more?
