Never mind the kids - haven't seen the numbers yet, but it looks like a good general purpose headlamp. And on a single AA? Nice.

EtA: *sigh* And ordered. Apart from a lack of memory mode, it looks like it covers all the basic needs for an around-the-house headlamp, particularly for power outages.

Sweet! Was about to give my Fenix HL05 to my kid then I saw this.

Sounds interesting !

But why the CAUTION
about using Energizer Lithium L91 batteries ? ? ?

< me puzzled >

Some lights don't like the higher voltage. Some lose their modes because of it.

These headlamps come in bright colors. My kid would love to have one.

In the Battery Specifications there is an error..... it "bans" a 10440 battery (AAA size).

We sent your question to the Fenix engineer. Here's the response:

[FONT=&quot]It is because the rated voltage of the lithium battery (non-rechargeable) is always not as the same as (higher than) its real one. So we don't suggest customers to use this type of battery.

Let us know if you have other questions.

Sounds interesting !

We sent your message to Fenix and it is an error in the chart. We will get that updated on our website as soon as we get the corrected image. Thanks for your keen eye!

Takes a 2mm wrench. EtA: Also, I was wrong, a wrench is included - it helps to open the paperwork as well. :ohgeez:

You can close the headlamp and get complete access to the screw; I was half-way done before I realized that.

Ooooh. My kids love lights and I've given them cheapo 3xaaa. I was just thinking how I wish there was a good AA option for them next time I replace. That way our batteries will match. This is a future purchase.
