Wow, that's nice.

might be overkill for me, but 5000mAh charging in 4 hours is good and the belt clip is cool!

Re: NEW Fenix TK65R - DAAAANNNNNGGG!

The TK65R seems to be a beefed up TK47UE.

And if the beam is as great and as balanced as the TK47UE, the TK65R may very likely be another great unit.

However, may I request Fenix for some clarifications, as follows:
Question: Can I use two 26650 batteries instead of the proprietary battery ?

When Fenix releases a light, they list all options for compatible batteries. Since they didn't list what you are asking, that means it's not possible. We have a prototype in our office and the proprietary battery has a larger diameter than the 26650 batteries. That, in addition to circuitry design, would make us answer no on using 26650 batteries.

By the way, THIS LIGHT IS A BEAST!

Thanks!

Re: NEW Fenix TK65R - DAAAANNNNNGGG!

I love fenix flashlights, and I have a tk12, tk15ue, and pd35 tac (among others). However my top pet peeve is they are really easy to turn on accidentally when in a bag, which is also the reason they don't tail stand. But the TK65R solution seems insane, does it really take 3 seconds to turn it on?

Here's hoping fenix makes some flashlights with power buttons that don't take 3 seconds to turn on, and also don't turn on randomly when in a bag.
