Cheap alkaline batteries from Anna and Clare. This chain of stores are mostly Danish, but there are a few shops all over the world. The shops have a selection/style like a pound or doller store, but not at fixed prices.

The date is not that far into the future, i.e. either it is old batteries or they "only" last about 3 years.

The discharge curves looks like any other good alkaline cell.

These batteries are fairly cheap, but performance is not bad.
