The title says it all. At the height of the solar eclipse which was 72% in my sky combined with intermittent clouds I would try to get a magnification fire. The weaker ambient light looked whiter for lack of better words. Strange for sure and the clouds didn't help.

Can we get a fire using the frensal lens from a Tops Turley PSK rebuild?

Solar eclipse sun light PSK fire...GO! The tinder bundle is a mixture of Grape vine bark, beech leaves and yellow birch bark.

Fire via magnification solar eclipse style.

Charred natural materials in this case a combination of charred punk, cedar bark and even charred fluff gave me the edge. The naturally ignitable and black material is prefect for fire via magnification.

Here is a video. Thanks for watching.

Awesome, nice work! I had such a blast and the family traveled down to the path of totality. Was completely awesome!

The magnified spot will be smaller, but just as hot.
I can tell you from experience it was much harder than a similar amount of clouds etc etc etc. The take away I took was just how effective natural charred materials are at ignition via sunlight.

Thanks for looking everyone! :)
