hello all the surefire l60 works with 1 cr123 battery right?
is it really a 3p surefire?
a good tailcap to match what it would be for you?
the type of tailcap is the same as the series 6p, 9p c2 etc?
thank everyone for the answers

Surefire L30, L60 and L90 are all lamp modules that mount to Surefire weapon light bodies. L30 has a 3 volt lamp, L60 has a 6 volt lamp and L90 a nine volt lamp.
Making any of these modules a handheld flashlight requires the use of an A21 adapter + tailcap. So an L30 + A21=3P, L60 + A21=6P , L90 +A21=9P.
The tail threads of the modules are C/P compatible but the stops on the bodies prevent normal function of switches.
As an example, if you drop a 123 size battery in the pictured L60 it only sits about 3/8 of an inch from the end and you would think adding a tailcap would make it good to go.
Not so, the switch will tighten against the body before contact is made to complete the circuit. The A21 provides the room for the second cell(for the L60) and third cell(for the L90) then actually acts as the entire body for the L30. The tail thread section on the A21 is machined the same as any C/P/Z light and allows the switch to function as intended.
