Up for grabs! Shelf queen, hard to let go but haven't seen any EDC time. So here goes nothing. :poof:

Tranquility Base (TB) Ti 14500/AA Nichia 219B $575 shipped worldwide **SOLD** Thanks CPF!

Details:

ML-L-M-H (no memory, always starts on ML via clicky switch)

Estimated output in lumens for NiMH: .09 - 3 - 30 - 120 (stronger output for Li-ion).

With 3 green trits at the tailcap, still glows strongly.

Runs on AA Alkaline, NiMH and 14500 Li-ion.

Beautiful well-balanced and warm Nichia beam.

Condition: 9/10 excellent condition; no dings or dents; rating as such to account for minor normal titanium swirls.

T&C:
First "I'll take it" takes priority over PM. Prompt payment via Paypal (Goods & Services). Prices in USD. International regular shipping via post office in bubble-wrap mailing envelope, registered with tracking number. Will judiciously check, pack and secure items before shipping out, but not responsible for package once shipped. I will try to describe and rate the condition of these items with transparency and in the best way possible, but is purely subjective and might differ from the buyer's perspective, hence please don't hesitate to ask for clarification when in doubt. Rating is done conservatively as possible, so actual item's condition in most instances is actually better. All sales are final. Thank you.

Re: WTS: Tranquility Base 14500/AA Nichia 219B

Very nice. TB's lights started me on my path to custom lights.

2 questions/requests:-

1) Can you estimate the output with a 14500?

2) Can you take a photo of the front end of the light if possible please.

Indeed. ;)

1) Unfortunately I don't have a 14500, I just used an NiMH. Per my limited knowledge, it's roughly double the output.

2) Sure.

Hi - is the light current controlled?
and is the beam somewhat floody?
Could you also include a photo of the back end : )

thank you

AFAIK light engine and/or LED module was built by DatiLED. I cannot confirm if it is current controlled. Based on my limited testing, I didn't detect any PWM or flicker on all levels.

The beam has a well-balanced hotspot and spill... I can say it's floody coming from a TIR perspective.

Here's a shot of the wall around 2+ feet away, M level:

back end:

note: photo above at 8 o'clock (at the edge of tailcap) is not a dent, just rechecked actual now... most likely just a minor Ti swirl dot (or dust particle settled as I had difficulty spotting it again); and the minor hairline swirls seen on the tailcap area are probably due to the fact that it tailstands.

;)

add some more photos of the tailcap, just for another look on different angles:

Beautiful light! TB is one of the custom builders from years ago I have not had the pleasure of trying yet. One day!

To tempt you both further, 14500 is one of the less common formats made by TB ....

It is tempting!

Xdayv, are you into knives at all? I have a small raindrop damascus Sebenza with raindrop graphics I could trade.

Sorry guys, my DC1 is on its way for an H17F upgrade. So the trade offer is off.

Back to regular WTS now...

Thanks for checking. ;)

In the unlikely event that you'd be prepared to split the TB up, I'm very interested in the tailcap.
