that for sure will not fit in my EMISAR D4. how much longer till batteries have wireless charging capabilities ?

Yeah, this is a head scratcher. Got to be no longer an 18650 by definition. 70 mm, probably not including button. But more power to them if it fits in most lights.

This should be great for getting more people to get into the 18650 format. I would have made the leap years before, if this were available.

The only thing that would make it perfect, would be if I came with a file, to allow the purchaser to open up the light sidewall and allow that phone charger end into the light.

do not like it at all. Looks to be a short circuit time bomb really. As much as I give Fenix endless props I consider this one a hair brained idea even if the micro USB port on the cell is for example waterproof...
